Back to school with a bang!
After a gloriously/horrendously hot summer, we're all getting back into the swing of the Autumn term. This is a wonderful time for Year 13 and Year 11 students to start revisiting what they learnt in the first year of their course so that it stays top-of-mind even while they're delving into the new units.
For other year groups, this is the time to be learning new skills, trying them out and making mistakes. It's through the mistakes we make that we learn. Whether it's extending language analysis beyond the obvious, articulating multiple impacts of writer's structural choices, or learning to compare the seemingly incomparable, Suze will be there to teach, train, encourage and refine.

I am fully DRB checked, have been a qualified teacher for twenty years, have worked as a GCSE examiner, and am still teaching at the 'coalface' in a school in London. I am a Subject Leader in English and Literacy and have worked on programs to improve outcomes for disadvantaged students. I have taught the full gamut of students, from those with serious speech and language development problems through to those undertaking the Oxbridge entry process.
My GCSE and A Level results are excellent, and I am fully conversant with recent developments in pedagogy including how to reduce the cognitive strain on students, how to push for deeper understanding and thinking, how to layer and repeat learning for retention, and how to build students' confidence.
